Recently a group of 39 dogs were removed from two properties in Durham, New York. Initial reports stated these dogs were "skinny and scared", in kennels stacked on top of each other, allowing feces and urine to run down to the dog below, that they had no food nor water.
However, the dogs were seized February 9th, and some are already going to new homes...

So, everyone knows that rabbits are the third most commonly euthanized companion animal in shelters, after cats and dogs, right? Well, I've got the perfect solution.
It's all over the news at this point - the stray dogs of Sochi are being rounded up and killed en mass before the Olympic games, and it has all sorts of people up in arms. But I don't think they're thinking this all the way through. I think they're letting their hearts lead the way, and everyone needs to step away from the emotions and think this through in a rational way.
Which one are you? Which do you prefer? Choose carefully, for you might be encouraging something you don't really agree with.
I could probably post a new volume of these every day, and still have more screen shots to use. I want to thank everyone for sending in submissions and keeping their eyes open for posts to use in this series. It's been a great help, both for the posts, and for my sanity. Unfortunately, to find these comments I usually have to venture into "the belly of the beast" as it were, and end up viewing a lot of abuse stories. It's not a pleasant task, but someone's gotta get proof that the majority of ARA's are a few cards short of a deck.
An opinion simply is.
Something that's been bothering me for a while, is the fact that people who hate things, think that everyone else should hate them, and no one should be able to do it. It's a very backwards way of thinking, and it's something that needs to stop. Unfortunately, it seems to be about the sole mantra of the RARA's - "I don't like it, so no one else should, so it should be illegal!!" Depending on the rescue's "adoption" contract, you are usually buying or renting them.
Cue the torches and pitchforks! Better get the lynch mob ready, because I'm about to say stuff that's against those wonderful souls who rescue animals!! So I asked my fellow blogger, the Arrogant Afghan, to write a guest post for me on something that had been bothering me, but I didn't know enough about to actually blog about - Dog registries, specifically the two CKC's. They kindly obliged, and now I have a lovely post about Alphabet Soup(which was also posted on the Arrogant Afghan,) to share with you all.
Now, to successfully write my blog, I spend a few hours a day trolling the internet, saving links that are interesting, that I might want to use for any number of reasons. Half of the time, I don't, the link just molders in my notepad. Today, however, I came across a link that completely horrified me. And the further I looked into things, the more outraged I got.
